All-Made-Up My MAC Lipstick Collection Part 1
I got just under six hours wear out of Honeylove without it being drying and it wore away evenly. Even if you're not a fan of mattes, I still recommend checking Honeylove out - it might just change your mind! It has a lustre finish. There's enough brown in here for me to comfortably call it a nude and it's been one of my favourites for years - this is actually my second tube!
Patisserie has buildable colour payoff and a light, forgivable texture. It wears for three hours on me and is slightly drying.
MAC Lustre Lipstick "Patisserie" : Swatches, Review and LOTD
Hug Me. Hug Me is described as a 'flesh pink' with a lustre finish. I fell in love with it after borrowing my sister's tube some time ago and eventually cashed in some Back 2 MAC empties for it.
It's much browner than Patisserie but still has a hint of rose to keep me happy. As with most lustres, colour pay off is semi sheer but even with a smooth application. Hug Me wears for four hours on me and is non-drying. Definitely some sly mauve undertones going on here, though I'd largely classify Faux as more of a rosy brown than a true mauve-pink which makes me think of something like Kat Von D Lovecraft.
Colour pay off is again, beautiful, with a tiny bit of streaking sneaking in. This is likely down to Faux feeling a bit more emollient than other MAC satins, which also causes it to gather around the inner rim of my mouth over the course of the three hour wear time. Gathering is something I really dislike in a lipstick, but I do love the colour of Faux so it's a bit of a trade off.
Fast Play. Fast Play is described by MAC as a 'neutral pink' with an amplified finish. It's a medium rosewood color with full colour pay off and a smooth formula. Fast Play would be an absolutely stunning rosey nude on deeper skintones - I'm hanging out to see it on my little sister, who wears NC in MAC. Wear time clocked in at four hours and I did find it drying. Also try:.
What do you think of the first six? I now own Syrup absolutely adore it! My next Mac will be Patisserie the Lustre finish is so good for my dry lips or Peach blossom, since I really want a coral tone. I was thinking of Myth. Any thoughts?? I am going on holiday next week so want to buy one ASAP to take with me! Shy Girl is another great Mac nude shade.

This shade is the most pink of the bunch. Peach Blossom is a beautiful sheeny, peachy-pink with very subtle shimmer. This shade is slightly more sheer than Creme Cup, and has a glossier effect on the lips. Shy Girl is a glossy, peachy nude.
Like Peach Blossom, Shy Girl contains a very slight shimmer. Patisserie is a pinky-browny-nude that is my ultimate, my-lips-but-better shade, and is a staple in my handbag during the fall and winter. Jubilee is on the sheerer side, and is more of a brown-nude. Though it is slightly deeper in tone than the other shades, I think it is still flattering on fair skin tones due to the fact that it is quite sheer and glossy.
So You Want to Buy Your First Mac Lipstick . . .
I love wearing Jubilee on its own, or with a sheer pink gloss overtop. Syrup is one of my go-to shades for the cooler months, but it looks great in the summer as well. Syrup is a sheeny pink with a hint of purple, and I think it looks particularly stunning on brunettes.
